Social Media Assessment
client: Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade
when: January 2020
the results: The Healthy Start Coalition of Miami-Dade, Inc., (HSCMD), an extension of a statewide network of community-based organizations, is committed to ensuring that “every baby gets a Healthy Start in life!”
theAOinsight Group was contracted to conduct a full social media assessment, providing an overview of the organization’s 2019 social media efforts, as well as recommendations for improvement and growth. This assessment serves as a useful tool to identify their target audience’s interests, spark meaningful engagement, create content that inspires a sense of community, and set goals to increase metrics from month to month.
During our assessment we identified that the social content being shared on HSCMD’s outlets was primarily resource posts, such as tips, news, and external links. Being a resource is a great asset, but it does not let the audience know the true work behind the organization, its accomplishments, and its people.
As an example, based on these and other findings, we recommended placing resource links shared via social media, on their website to drive traffic back, create and use a hashtag tagline such as #HealthyStartMiami to enhance visibility, implement the use of tagging and geotagging to expand reach and promote engagement, and to consider creating an ongoing series/campaign highlighting team members or healthy tips for moms, hosted on their site as another avenue to direct followers back.
Our #aoinsight team was proud to assist with developing ways to enhance HSCMD’s social media footprint, as they look towards engaging with a wider community.
